How to get better acquainted and join our community

To get occasional e-mail updates from us, please enter your email address below and then click on the purple button. We promise never to give out your email address to anyone, and not to use it for any purpose other than sending our announcements. Each announcement we send will contain at the bottom a link to unsubscribe.

2. Attend a “get-acquainted” social

One of the best ways to meet us is to attend a “get acquainted” social. They’re held roughly every month. The usual format is to start with a presentation that describes the project and its features, with updates on our current developments and progress. There’s time for questions and answers. That’s followed by an informal period for chatting and refreshments.

3. Become an Associate

That’s an intermediate step on the way to becoming a member. You’ll hear all about it when you attend an introductory social, and start getting to know us.

4. Become a Member

The Membership Committee has a procedure by which you apply to join. It’s a two-way process: you get to know us, we get to know you. Neither we nor you should rush it: after all, we hope we’ll be together a long time.
